Why should I exfoliate my child’s scalp?

Are the products natural and organic?
Yes the ingredients we use in our products are all carefully selected organic and naturally derived ingredients, to create a healthy glow and aid in your child’s hair development.
Are your haircare products made in Australia?
As an Australian owned company, all Maleni formulations for our hair products are proudly made in Australia. Everything from product concept and design, formulating products, filling of our bottles, packing and postage all occur in Australia.
Are the products dermatologically tested?
Yes, all of our products undergo dermatological testing.
The test is conducted on a semi-occlusive patch on a panel of 52 adults with photo-type II to IV and with sensitive skin on body, upon testing the product induced no reaction of irritation and has a very good skin compatibility.
How do I patch test Maleni haircare products on my child?
All products should be tested prior to use of your child has sensitive skin. Follow the following steps:
Check ingredients on our website or products for known personal allergens.
Apply a small amount of the product onto the back of the ear or onto the inside forearm.
After 24 hours rinse off.
At any time during the 24 hours should any reaction such as redness, burning, itching, blistering or irritation occur rinse off immediately and seek medical advice.

Will Maleni haircare products be suitable for my child?
Maleni products have been specifically formulated for children. Our natural haircare products do not contain harmful synthetic chemicals.
ALL ingredients are listed on our website as well as on all our products.
As with all new products introduced to young children we recommend performing a patch test before use.
Do you test your products on animals?
NEVER! ALL Maleni products are cruelty free.
What is the best way to store Maleni haircare products?
Because Maleni products are natural they have a shorter shelf life compared to those with artificial preservatives. Therefore it is important to store them out of direct sunlight, in a cool space in your home.
